Everyday Love Art is my art, comics and updates. I’m Nidhi Chanani, an award-winning author and illustrator. I started sharing my artwork through a BCC’d mailing list in 2009. I sent one illustration daily for years before working on my first graphic novel, Pashmina. Since then I’ve worked on over a dozen books some as an illustrator and many as an author-illustrator.
About this newsletter
In between my book deadlines, I like to make mini-comics and illustrations. This newsletter will be a mix of rejected New Yorker comics, illustrations, and behind-the-scenes about making books and art. I will update weekly when I’m busy, otherwise, I will send new art twice a week.
Currently, I’m only offering free subscriptions so you don’t have to worry about missing anything behind a paywall.
About Nidhi
Nidhi Chanani was born in Kolkata, India and raised in California. She holds a degree in literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2012, the Obama Administration honored her as a Champion of Change. She’s the author of the graphic novels Pashmina, Jukebox, Shark Princess and the picture book What will my story be? She’s illustrated a number of picture books including I will be fierce, Strong and Binny’s Diwali.
Nidhi draws in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband, kid and two adorable cats. You can find more of her work on her website and instagram.
