The above is a rough comic I pitched to an outlet that didn’t pick it up. Rejection, my old friend. I still like it and sharing it’s unpolished glory is liberating.

Last week I launched the latest Shark Princess, Surfin Sharks in Alameda. It was heartwarming.
Then I took off to DC, Philly and Chicago. Spoke to hundreds of kids about sharks and comics. Every day I was in a new city, it was a literal whirlwind.
My favorite comment was the kid who said “I thought all authors were dead.”
I returned home and immediately got sick. It was worth it for the shark love. I’m on the mend and ready to dive back into making more comics.
Upcoming events:
May 3rd - Capitola and Scotts Valley library presentations
May 4th - Bay area book fest panels
May 7th - Pleasant Hill library free comic book day
May 10-12 - Toronto Comics and Art Fest (my first time in Toronto, please send all recs!)
See you out there!
"I thought all authors were dead" lololol
Congrats on Surfin Sharks!!
That darn monitor! My heart was crying for your poor grey soul- who dreams up this stuff !?!
