Some days this author life is quiet. I sip coffee, speak to kids virtually and cuddle my cats.
Other days, like this weekend, I wake at 2am to fly to Tucson and arrive 20 minutes before I’m scheduled to teach a comics workshop.
I speak on a panel with one of the greats, R. L. Stine, and wonder what it would be like to write 300 books.
And I hear from kids and adults that they’re reading and sharing my books. That they’re eager for more. It fills me up.
I return to my quiet, grab my pen and get back to writing.
