Another rejected New Yorker cartoon which I wrote about here.
I really loved this one.
Summer is here and I’m ready to sleep in and lighter work travel. I need to make progress on Super Boba Cafe 2! I’m almost halfway through inks. Below is a sneak peek - a wordless panel that I love. It captures the magical experience of walking on a hill in San Francisco with a direct vantage point to the bay.
We will be in Europe for the month of July. I need to draw a lot to take the whole month off. Working for myself means I don’t track time off - I take it when needed. I work many weekends. Often after a work trip, I return on Sunday evening and go straight back to work on Monday. A month off will feel glorious. I’ve ever taken that much time off in my working life. I will make mini comics while we travel (to share here) but otherwise, I will be off.
So, I must keep my head down and work til then.
I hope you have a wonderful June and happy Pride!
