January is so full. I spoke at a set of events last week and the above are some of the comments I recall. People are surprising and wonderful. I feel very grateful to meet so many through my work.
I wrapped thumbnails on Super Boba Cafe 2 (!!) last week. This is the fastest I’ve ever made a book, either because I’m getting better (yay) or because I’m having so much fun (also yay).
I will clean up the thumbnails before I send it to my editor for her feedback. And while that’s happening, I’m off to Atlanta to celebrate my friend Breanna McDaniel’s book launch (maybe see you there?). I will also speak at SCAD.
This week a lot of author friends were honored by the American Library Association annual youth media awards. So I want to recommend some books.
